Traffic Controller.Licence.NSW SafeWork Traffic Control Work

NOTE: From 1 July 2020, Traffic Control cards will no longer be issued by Transport for NSW (formerly RMS). They will be issued by SafeWork NSW.  RMS issued cards are still valid / can be accepted until the card expiry but following on from that contractor will supply SafeWork issued card. 
 
For a SafeWork NSW Card: 

• Applicants name displayed on card must match applicants registered name 

• Must be issued by SafeWork NSW 

• Card must state Traffic Controller, Implement Traffic Control Plans, OR Prepare a work zone traffic management plan

• Black and white or coloured copy of evidence can be accepted 

• Must be clear and legible 

NOTE: Interim documents such as Confirmation Traffic Control Work Training Card and Statement of Completion for Traffic Control Work Training showing the relevant class can be accepted for a period of 60 days from the date of letter issuance

• Issue date to recorded as issue date listed on card 

• No expiry date is required to be recorded unless one of the following documents is submitted. In that case, the relevant expiry must be recorded:

  • RMS issued card — record expiry date as shown on the card

  • Interim document — 60 days from issue date
