Aviation Hull & Liability

  • Business Name needs to match. If it doesn't match, government certified evidence   must be provided to link the business names together. This is ideally a letter or download from ABR showing the linkage

  • We can accept ‘PTY LTD’ or ‘(Pty) Ltd’  in lieu of ‘Proprietary Limited’ when this is the only difference in the company name between what’s shown on company compliance paperwork verse what’s shown in onsite.

  • Must be current

  • Must be a certificate of insurance which references Hull and Liability and states the amount

  • There is no minimum amount to be verified for this document

  • Black and white copy accepted

Ausgrid Required Insurance Clause

  • Must be a screenshot of the companies contract with Ausgrid which references Public Liability and states the agreed amount  

  • If you are unable to locate this clause, please contact your Contract Owner at Ausgrid

  • The product liability insurance you upload must match the coverage specified in your Ausgrid Clause

  • This is only required where you do not hold coverage of $50M

Professional Indemnity Insurance

  • Business Name needs to match. If it doesn't match, government certified evidence   must be provided to link the business names together. This is ideally a letter or download from ABR showing the linkage

  • Must state one of the accepted types as listed in the below table

  • If the policy does not list one of the accepted types a Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) is required before escalation.

  • If PDS states on of the accepted types – the insurance and PDS needs to be uploaded together for approval

  • If the PDS does not specify Professional Indemnity it will be escalated          

  • Amount = the minimum level of coverage required will depend on the type of professional service your business is providing to Ausgrid. Refer to the terms of your contract, Purchase order or contact your Ausgrid representative.

NOTE: Must be a minimum amount of $2,000,000.00 for ASP1 companies who are required to conduct the field recording of network assets. This may be satisfied by either holding a policy in the name of the ASP1 company, or by being listed as an interested party on the policy for all of the competent field recorder’s whose services they will be using.

Public & Product Liability

  • Business Name and ABN needs to match. If it doesn't match, government certified evidence must be provided to link the ABN or business names together. This is ideally a letter or download from ABR showing the linkage;

  • Minimum amount of $50 million dollars Australian for any one occurrence; Coverage amount to be recorded; If less than$50 million (AUD) Pegasus staff will check to see if the lower amount has been approved in previous years. If the coverage amount HAS been approved for the company previously then this can be accepted again for the renewal instance of the policy.

  • If the policy amount is not in AUD and the policy is worldwide, a conversion at the time of processing is to be completed to ensure the non AUD amount is equal to or greater than the $50 million AUD amount OR the lower amount that was previously accepted

  • USD converted to AUD amount of greater than the $50 million is acceptable when the policy applies for work conducted in Australia

Exception: 

If the insurance document was previously approved in the system for $20m, it can be re-approved as long as it meets the other competency requirements of this business rule

  • If a Sole Trader: the name on Licence should match the person registered

  • If a Partnership: the name on the Licence should match one of the Partners name registered in the system
