  • Amount = the minimum level of coverage required will depend on the type of professional service your business is providing to Ausgrid. Refer to the terms of your contract, Purchase order or contact your Ausgrid representative.

NOTE: Must be a minimum amount of $2,000,000.00 for ASP1 companies who are required to conduct the field recording of network assets. This may be satisfied by either holding a policy in the name of the ASP1 company, or by being listed as an interested party on the policy for all of the competent field recorder’s whose services they will be using.

  • If the policy amount is not in AUD and the policy is worldwide, a conversion at the time of processing is to be completed to ensure the non AUD amount is equal to or greater than the $50 million AUD amount OR the lower amount that was previously accepted
  • USD converted to AUD amount of greater than the $50 million is acceptable when the policy applies for work conducted in Australia

Exception: 

If the insurance document was previously approved in the system for $20m, it can be re-approved as long as it meets the other competency requirements of this business rule
