Plant Design Registration

• Must be a statement from the design verifier stating the design has been produced in accordance with published technical standards or engineering principles specified by the designer

• Statement must show plant design registration number

• Issue Date = As per statement

• Expiry Date = None

Plant Registration

• Issued by SafeWork NSW or other state equivalent

• Expiry date must not be less than present date

• Asset details to be displayed on evidence (Type and Model)

• Issue Date = Start of coverage date listed on document

• Expiry Date = Coverage end date listed on registration (If the registration is paid on a monthly basis the expiry will be set when the next payment is due)

Project Plant Registration

• Must be a BESIX labelled document matching the plant type 

• Expiry date must not be less than present date

• Asset details to be displayed on evidence (Type and Model)

• Issue Date = Start of coverage date listed on document

• Expiry Date = Coverage end date listed on registration (If the registration is paid on a monthly basis the expiry will be set when the next payment is due)

Regulator Registration

Note: Certain kinds of plant, for example forklifts, cranes and some pressure equipment, require a licence from the regulator to operate and some high-risk plant must also be registered with the regulator.

• All cranes and concrete pumps must be registered with the regulator - Regulator Registration documents must be provided for these plant items

• Issued by SafeWork NSW or other state equivalent

• Expiry date must not be less than present date

• Asset details to be displayed on evidence (Type and Model)

• Issue Date = Start of coverage date listed on document

• Expiry Date = Coverage end date listed on registration (If the registration is paid on a monthly basis the expiry will be set when the next payment is due)

Road Registration

• Issued by Transport for NSW (TfNSW) or other state equivalent

• Receipt number to be recorded

• Expiry date must not be less than present date

• Asset details to be displayed on evidence (Type and Model)

• Use must state B for business

• Correct vehicle axle code listed as per https://roads-waterways.transport.nsw.gov.au/business-industry/heavy-vehicles/registration/nominated-configuration/axle-codes.html

• Issue Date = Start of coverage date listed on document

• Expiry Date = Coverage end date listed on registration (If the registration is paid on a monthly basis the expiry will be set when the next payment is due)
