Pest Control.Qualified.Technician
  • Applicants name to be displayed on uploaded evidence and to match applicants registered name
  • Actual copy of certificate / degree is required. Letters are not accepted in lieu of this.
  • Must be NSW issued licence
  • Completion date or issue date must be displayed
  • Course title and associated level to be listed on certificate to match the nominated coding and title within Onsite

Note: Trade Licence can be accepted in lieu of certificate

If certificate is uploaded:

  • Date of completion to be recorded as the issue date in Onsite.
  • No expiry is required

If licence is provided:

  • Only record issue date if date of completion is displayed on the licence
  • Expiry date on this should be recorded as expiration date of competency in Onsite

Licence.Work Activity.Pest management technician
  •  Applicant’s name should be displayed on the evidence and should match the applicant’s name that is registered in Pegasus (However shortened versions of names such as 'Chris' for 'Christopher' is accepted.
  • If there is a Date of Birth (DOB) data field shown on the uploaded evidence Pegasus will verify the DOB that is listed matches the applicants registered DOB in Pegasus.
  • Documentation which has been found to be subject to alterations will not be accepted.
  • Completion date or issue date must be displayed.
  • a photo licence card that matches the person carrying out the work.
  • the expiry date on the licence has not passed.

By law, a person carrying out prescribed pesticide work must hold a licence. Pest management technician licences are issued by the NSW EPA.

Some similar licences from other states and territories are also acceptable, with the exception of those issued in Queensland.

To check that a pest controller is licensed, search the EPA’s public register for records on pesticide licences and permits.
