ASP1 – ASP Scheme Accreditation

NOTE: Where an ASP does not have a copy of any Accreditation documentation, that was originally provided by the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment, OR Office of Energy and Climate Change, and was previously submitted to Ausgrid for ASP authorisation, the ASP should contact Ausgrid at ASPAuthorisations@Ausgrid.com.au for confirmation of this document

  • The Registered Business Name as shown on the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment Accreditation letter needs to match the company name as registered in Pegasus. If it doesn't match, government certified evidence must be provided to link the business names together. This is ideally a letter or download from ABR (Australian Business Register) showing the linkage.
    • We can accept ‘PTY LTD’ or ‘(Pty) Ltd’ in lieu of ‘Proprietary Limited’ when this is the only difference in the company name between what’s shown on company compliance paperwork verse what’s shown in Pegasus.
    • We can also accept the company name without ‘PTY LTD’ or ‘(Pty) Ltd or 'Limited / LTD' if this has been missed off the end of the company name when it was written on the form
    • We cannot accept a company name match if the company name on the evidence gives reference to a soul traders name who is 'trading as' (t/as) this company unless we are able to validate an ABN match on the ABR website
  • Must show that company is  accredited as level 1 sevice provider
  • Documentation which has been found to be subject to alterations will not be accepted.
  • Document must be issued by NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment, OR Office of Energy and Climate Change, or any other previous administering agency of the NSW Accredited Service Provider Scheme.
  • NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment accreditation is valid for 12 months.
  • Must be current.
  • The date of sign-off by the Department of Planning, Industry & Environment OR Office of Energy and Climate Change representative should be recorded as the Issue Date in Pegasus
  • Expiry Date = Accreditation expiry date stated on the document.
