The supplied documentation must show:

  • The required pages of the company authorisation agreement that show both the execution sign-off details page/s AND Annexure 1 form.

NOTE: Not all pages of the agreement document need to be included in the uploaded file - see example document for guide on minimum required pages

  • The company name - Needs to match the company name as registered in Pegasus. If it doesn't match, government certified evidence must be provided to link the business names together. This is ideally a letter or download from ABR (Australian Business Register) showing the linkage.
    • We can accept ‘PTY LTD’ or ‘(Pty) Ltd’ in lieu of ‘Proprietary Limited’ when this is the only difference in the company name between what’s shown on company compliance paperwork verse what’s shown in Pegasus.
    • We can also accept the company name without ‘PTY LTD’ or ‘(Pty) Ltd or 'Limited / LTD' if this has been missed off the end of the company name when it was written on the form
  • It is signed by a company director (Only one of the signature fields for company director or company director / secretary on the execution sign-off details page/s need to be complete) OR an authorised company representative.
  • Where signed by authorised representative ONLY the copy of the signatory's authority DOES NOT need to be included within the uploaded file
  • The document does also need to be signed by an Ausgrid authorized officer and witnessing party.
  • The form must be signed by any company representative.
    • Below is a note for contracting companies, Pegasus Administrators are not required to verify the signatures of the company representative for ASP1 Company Authorisation Agreement

Acceptance of digital signatures is based on the following criteria (Acceptance of Digital Signatures):

- Digitally signing with a stylus on a tablet; or
- Using a PDF program to insert the signature electronically

In the options above, the documents must be 'witnessed' by being digitally counter-signed by a third party in the same manner.

The use of cursive or script style fonts are not an acceptable digital PDF signature.

Documents submitted with digital signatures must be in PDF file format. Other documents such as Microsoft Word or Excel will be rejected.

  • Part 4 (Agreement validity date) is mandatory to be completed.

NOTE: Documentation which has been found to be subject to alterations will not be accepted.


Additional Information regarding renewed documentation:

  • The ASP1 Company Authorisation Agreement must be resubmitted to Ausgrid annually and be executed prior to expiry of the previous ASP1 Company Authorisation Agreement to maintain company authorisation.
  • The ASP1 Company Authorisation Agreement expiry date will be fixed annually provided it is renewed prior to expiring .
  • When resubmitted and executed after the annual renewal date the ASP1 Company Authorisation Agreement expiry date will change to the date the ASP1 Company Authorisation Agreement is executed.



  • Issue Date = The date of agreement execution should be recorded
  • Expiry Date = Expiry date that is shown in the agreement validity date field of the Annexure 1 form (Approx. 12 months from the date the ASP1 Company Authorisation Agreement is executed by Ausgrid)

  • The Registered Business Name needs to match the company name as registered in Pegasus. If it doesn't match, government certified evidence must be provided to link the business names together. This is ideally a letter or download from ABR (Australian Business Register) showing the linkage.
  • We can accept ‘PTY LTD’ or ‘(Pty) Ltd’ in lieu of ‘Proprietary Limited’ when this is the only difference in the company name between what’s shown on company compliance paperwork verse what’s shown in Pegasus.

  • The date of completion on the evidence should be recorded as the Issue Date in Pegasus
  • Expiry Date = 12 months from the date the ASP/2 Company Authorisation Agreement is signed and submitted.
