Generic.Letter of Competency.




Pegasus Administrators to click HERE for additional business rule information prior to verification.

The letter of competency should be comprised of the following:
- Name on Letter to match person registered
- The task / operation being undertaken
- Nominate any specific equipment or task specializations
- Any general job training and experience
- Job history with the company (could be date started, duration of employment etc)
- Qualifications to do the job
- The currency of skills and training
- Other sites where the task or equipment operation has been undertaken
- Must be on a company letterhead 

- Must be signed by a senior manager of contracting company and role specified in letter

Verification check is as follows:

  • Issue Date: Signed date
  • Expiry Date:
    Yarrabee, Premier and Yancoal – Expire 2 years from the date of submission
    Ashton, Austar, Cameby Downs, Donaldson, Stratford and Mooalrben roles – Expire 3 years from the date of submission’

  • Please enter the name of the person who signed the form and their Occupation (if stated) in the Declaration Commence box.


NOTE: Cameby Downs - LOCs submitted prior to 1st Jan 2021 will have an expiry of 2 years

  • Name on Letter to match person registered
  • Must be on a company letterhead or MTW template
  • The task / operation being undertaken
  • Nominate any specific equipment or task specializations
  • Any general job training and experience
  • Job history with the company
  • Qualifications to do the job*

NOTE: *N/A or Not Applicable is an acceptable response

  • The currency of skills and training
  • Other sites where the task or equipment operation has been undertaken
  • Must be signed by any of the following:
    • Senior Manager of contracting company
    • Senior Operations Supervisor
    • Project Coordinator
    • On-Site Coordinator

NOTE: Training coordinator is not accepted as signatory in the LOC
