Note 1: Full time employees (FTE’s) are calculated by:

Total number of hours worked annually by workers for organisation or division

Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate is a broad measure that indicates how often work related incidents are occurring. By measuring Lost Time incidents only the
measure gives an indication of ‘how often’ more serious incidents are occurring within the organisation. Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR) is the number
of incidents involving a fatality, or time lost time from work, greater than or equal to one full day or shift for each 1 million hours worked.

Note 2: FTE - Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate

The calculation of FTE - LTIFR is provided by the following formula: 

 LTIs are the number of lost time incidents having occurred within the period. FTE is the number of current Full Time Equivalent employees. 2000 — the average hours worked per employee per year used by the company.

Note 3: Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate

The calculation of FTE - LTIFR is provided by the following formula:

* Input the average hours per person per year if the contract circumstances are significantly different from national average of 2000.

LTIFR includes all work related lost time incidents. Lost Time Incidents exclude: Journey Incidents (those that occur during travel while not on duty or during a recess period). Journey Injuries or incidents
are those that occur during travel while not on duty or during a recess period. This includes travel between place of abode and the workplace, travel to technical school for training associated with
employment and travel to receive medical treatment for an injury sustained at work.

Note 4: FTE - Total Recordable Injury Frequency Rate

The calculation of the FTE -  TRIFR is provided by the following formula:

FTE x 2000*

TRIs are all injuries including fatalities, LTI’s, MTI’s and AWI’s where treatment has been administered by a medical practitioner, as defined by OSHA definitions that occurred within the period. FTE is the number of current Full Time Equivalent employees.  2000 — the average hours worked per employee per year used by the company.

The calculation of the TRIFR is provided by the following formula:
