• The competency expires in 3 years
• For Aurizon employees: the competency is either a statement of attainment or a training attendance sheet which can be issued by an internal or external assessor.
• For Contractors: the competency is a statement of attainment which is issued by an external assessor.
  NOTE: The newly issued Aurizon Protection Officer cards will eventually replace the statement of attainment and training attendance sheet for both employees and contractorsevery 12 months.

• Issue date = Date of course completion
• Expiry date = Date which is calculated to be 3 years 1 year from issue date
