• Actual copy of certificate / degree is required. Letters are not accepted in lieu of this.

For overseas / international engineering qualifications to be accepted they need to either be

recognized under the:

• Washington Accord (

• Letter from the Australian Institute of Engineers or Engineers Australia

• recognizing your qualification

Note : 

• License or Card can be accepted must be issued by relevant Australian State Government Authority
  • For Queensland: QLD Government is Issuer
  • For NSW: NSW Department of Fair Trading is issuer
  • For Victoria: EnergySafe VIC is issuer
  • For WA: Electrical Licensing Board or Energysafe WA
  • For NT: NT Government
  • For TAS: TAS department of Justice
  • For SA: South Australia Government
• Applicants name must be displayed on the License
• License must show the relevant competency which is greater than cert 3 certificate
• License must be in date / valid
• Black and white OR colour copy of this document is accepted
• Only front side of license is required
• Must be clear and legible
