Note: This is an entirely optional / non-mandatory requirement:
  • Can supply either a certificate or a letter of 'Proof' or ‘Confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Heritage’.
  • Evidence can be issued by an incorporated Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander organisation which the person relates to.
  • Two directors will generally sign the letter or certification and the document must be stamped with the organisation's Common Seal.
  • Issue Date = Date of issue / sign-off
  • Expiry Date = Not required to be entered

Proof of Australian Citizenship

Uploaded document can be a Passport, a Baseline Clearance Email or a Birth Certificate

For the Passport:

  • Applicants name to be displayed on uploaded evidence and to match applicants registered name
  • Date of Birth must be displayed and match the applicants Date of Birth in Onsite
  • Must be issued by relevant Australian or New Zealand state Government Authority
  • Country of passport field on passport must state 'AUS' or 'NZ'
  • Nationality must state 'Australian' or 'New Zealand'
  • Must be current / in date
  • Black and white or coloured copy of the document is accepted

For the Baseline Clearance Email:

  • Applicants name to be displayed on uploaded evidence and to match applicants registered name
  • Must be issued by email address that includes '@defence.gov.au' 
  • Email must indicate the Australian Government Baseline security clearance has been granted
  • Black and white or coloured copy of the document is accepted


For the Birth Certificate:

  • Applicants name to be displayed on uploaded evidence and to match applicants registered name
  • Date of Birth must be displayed and match the applicants Date of Birth in Onsite
  • Birth Certificate must be issued by an Australian or New Zealand State Government Authority
  • Black and white or coloured copy of the document is accepted


For the Citizenship by Descent:

  • Applicants name to be displayed on uploaded evidence and to match applicants registered name
  • Date of Birth must be displayed and match the applicants Date of Birth in Onsite
  • Citizenship document must be issued by an Australian or New Zealand State Government Authority
  • Black and white or coloured copy of the document is accepted


For the Administration of Oath or Affirmation of Allegiance

  • Applicants name to be displayed on uploaded evidence and to match applicants registered name
  • Date of Birth must be displayed and match the applicants Date of Birth in Onsite
  • Must be signed by Migration Officer
  • Black and white or coloured copy of the document is accepted



For the Passport:

  • Photo on the ID must match the applicants photo on the data application
  • Issue date in Onsite should be recorded as the date which is shown on the passport
  • No Expiry date is required to be entered into Onsite





For the Baseline Clearance Email:

  • Issue date in Onsite should be recorded as the date which is shown as the date of effect on the Baseline Clearance email
  • No Expiry date is required to be entered into Onsite




For the Birth Certificate:

  • No Issue date is required to be entered into Onsite
  • No Expiry date is required to be entered into Onsite


For the Citizenship by Descent :

  • No Issue date is required to be entered into Onsite
  • No Expiry date is required to be entered into Onsite

Identity.Govt Licence/Authority.Proof of Identity

  • Name on the document to match the registered person
  • Copy must be clear and legible
  • Can be in colour copy OR black and white copy
  • The Proof of Identity must be an Australian State or Federal Issued Proof of Identity

  • Must be photo ID

    Examples include:

  • Drivers Licences (only Australian Drivers Licence accepted)

  • Passports - Australian or International accepted

  • Proof of Identity cards etc.

Screenshot of digital drivers licence for NSW is an accepted form of evidence providing the following information is displayed in the screenshot:

  • Clear photo of the applicant
  • Applicants first and last name
  • Date of Birth
  • Licence Number
  • Expiry date
  • Matching licence class must be displayed
  • No issue or expiry date to be entered

National License. High Risk Work
  • Applicants name to be displayed on uploaded evidence and to match applicants registered name
  • Must be issued by relevant Australian state Government Authority
  • Black and white or coloured copy of the document is accepted
  • Photo on the ID must match the applicants photo on the data application
  • Expiry date not Required
Identity.Govt Licence/Authority.Immi Card

  • Australian Government Immi Card to be uploaded
